I began to think that maybe there's something wrong with the hard drive or I'm missing something with the sound card. I knew right away that it wasn't due to a broken recording. Yet the recorded audio doesn't want to play on his laptop for some reason. He gave me his headphones to test the Yeti and with it I can hear it capturing nice, distorted-free audio just like it's supposed to. The sounds from his laptop also went away as well, but his laptop doesn't seem to capture the Yeti at all. Interestingly, the only sound that the desktop catches are the high pitched distorted sounds from Yeti.Ĭurious of what might be wrong, I went to my neighbor and used his laptop. When I disconnect the Yeti, the sounds from the speakers return. Another thing I notice is that the sounds from the speakers tend to go away every time I plug the Yeti. Unfortunately, the problem still persists. I notice that every time I record my voice and play it on Audacity, it sounds very high pitched and distorted.Īt first I thought it had something to do with the microphone input, so I turned every boost/level all the way down. I recently purchase a Blue Yeti USB Microphone at Radioshack and been experiencing technical difficulties ever since I plugged it in to my Windows Vista desktop.
